FOOTBALL WORLD CUP (soccer

12 months ago every nation who plays Football (soccer) entered
the qualification for the world cup, 32 teams have qualified and
have been split into 8 groups of 4, for the 1st round the four
teams in each group play each other once, the top team from each
group will advance to the 2nd round , The 2nd round and following
rounds is a one game elimination if the games is level after 90mins
then 30mins of Extra time will be played, if after the extra time
the score are still level then comes the dreaded Penalty shoot
out each team takes five penalty kicks if the teams are level
after the five then the there is sudden death shoot out until
one team scores and the other misses
Offside Rule
One part of football that many people don't understand is the
offside rule, if u follow ice hockey then it's easy to understand
in football as well, in ice hockey a attacking player can not
be in front of the blue line before the puck crosses it, in football
there is no blue line but the last defender is the offside line
an attacking player can not be goal side of the last defender
and receive the ball or be goal side of the defender when a play
is played past the last defender , so its very similar to the
blue line offside in ice hockey , the last defender becomes the
blue line in football
Golden Boot
Every year the top goal scorer in the world cup is given a golden
boot
Players to watch for golden boot award are ADRIANO(brazil my tip
for the golden boot , Thierry Henry (France) , tevez (Arg), Wayne
Rooney (eng), Brian McBride (Usa), Kjuit(Holland) Owen, England)
Ronaldo (brazil)
Teams to watch
1. Brazil
2. England
3. Argentina
4. France
5. Germany
6. U.S.A
I think the winning team will be one of these six teams Brazil
would be favourites with England and Argentina joint 2nd favourites,
as for the U.S.A chances I think if the other results go there
way this could be Americas year in the world cup, I don't think
there quiet ready to win but there's a possibility of getting
to the semi final
World cup players to watch
1. Ronaldhinho (Brazil)- voted world player of the year and European
footballer of the year , he is the best attacking midfielder /
support striker in the world he's got more tricks and magic in
his feet than David Blaine
2. Thierry Henry (France) - Known as the best striker in the world
, has pace flair and when he's in full flow he deadly, his club
side Arsenal has just turned down two offer of over $100million
for his services ,his only weakness is he's not very good in the
air
3. ADRIANO (Brazil) -in some peoples eyes he's better than Henry,
he's a powerhouse forward when he's on his game he's explosive
( my favourite for the Golden boot)
4. Wayne Rooney (England) if rooneys fit England will tick probably
the best young footballer in the world combines pace flair and
pure aggression one to watch for sure
5. Zinedine Zidane (France) - has been to football what Jordan
was to basketball pure poetry in motion, he's coming to the end
of his career will his final act be to lift the world cup ( he's
still the most expensive footballer there has ever been)
6. TEVEZ Carlos (Argentina) - fast and powerful one of the best
young strikers in the world , due to make a big money move to
one of Europe's biggest teams after the world cup
7. David Beckham (England) the worlds most famous footballer not
just famous for his looks and pop star wife and movie star life
style, he is England's heart and soul ,still the best dead ball
kicker in the world write him off at your peril

Preakness 2006: The Good,
The Bad, and The Boobies

Earlier this month I took a trip out
to the 2006 Preakness race at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore,
Maryland. To be honest, I really didn't know what to
expect and was hesitant about driving all the way to
Maryland for a horse race. It was the nice before the
race, and I partaking in happy hour festivities with
Gleny and company at Bar A, still undecided as to whether
or not I'm make the roadtrip down later that night.
Besides hearing that it was a good party, I'd never
gone before, and didn't know what it was all about.
Finally, I decide "what the hell", jumped
in my car… Destination Preakness! Little did I
know what I wise choice it would prove to me.
For those of you that don't know, Preakness
is the 2nd biggest of the series of the Triple Crown
horse races that make up the 3 main horse races of the
season, only behind that of the Kentucky Derby. The
Belmont Stakes being the 3rd race and that's coming
up June 10th.. Enough boring history, now onto what
Preakness really is! I'd have to say it is certainly
one of the craziest parties you'll ever experience in
your life. Partygoers and college students look forward
to this event each year, and with good reason. It has
all the ingredients that come together to make for one
insane party. It has….the good, the bad, and the
boobies!! This article should pretty much has two purposes,
the cover the craziness that they call Preakness, and
you can also use it as a guide to maximize your drunken
experiences at future Preaknesses.
The Good and Bad
I'd have to say just about just about everything about
Preakness 2006 fell into the good. The place to be if
you want in on the action, is the infield general admission
section. The infield is the grass area that the horses
race around, at Preakness its filled with about 50,000+
parties. Next good thing.. its BYOB.. the track lets
you bring your own beer which saves big time on money,
lines for drinks, and any other headache that goes along
with not being able to bring it. If you got your friends,
beer, and general admin ticket you're pretty much set.
There are tons of people and there all there to have
a good time, so saying it's a little crazy is definitely
an understatement.
There was much bad at all, the only
thing that sucked was the line to get onto the infield.
Get there early, cause we had to wait about 2 hours
to get on, cause the trackside entrance only lets people
in between the races cause you have to walk on the track..
Find the tunnel entrance if you can, I heard that was
the way to go. Besides that nothing really bad, unless
of course you were a douchebag. Among those performing
the actions of douchebagery, was one group of guys sitting
on top of an RV decided to throw waterballoons at the
line of approx 5,000 people waiting to get in…
the crowd responded with throwing back full cans of
beer. It was pretty funny, but had to suck for the people
that got hit.

X-MEN 3 was a horrible let down. Not enough of the X-Stamos. The acting
was insulting to movie viewers. Lame, lame, lame. The action was good
and more cartoonish, but Angel was gay. The Pheonix was bad ass but
didnt really speak anymore. Professor X isn't supposed to die.. I mean
the Movie was a let down to me in a dozen ways.
