Implosion...

So I and a few early risers took the shortbus to Asbury the morning of April 29th. We went to see "C-8", the unfinished condominium that started 17 years ago, get imploded. The new deveopler will build the 224-unit Esperanza in its place on the oceanfront block between Third and Fourth avenues.

This building really represented all the failed attempts Asbury has made in the past with cleaning up and rebuilding. Ever person that I talked to was extremely glad to see it go. The cops in Asbury were so cool to the shortbus, it really warmed my cockals... Thanks guys. The crowd was a decent size but I would have liked a little more energy out of them.
